I hated advertising.
It felt too capitalistic
and too cynical.
Am I a hypocrite?

I started my career as an illustrator and designer for Bad Bunny, Summer Salt, Peggy Gou, and more. I also made a living getting short stories published and screenwriting for a Sundance-winning director (dang, much cooler things to brag about than working in ad.)

Then, one scorching summer, I met a strange old man and his talking dog who convinced me that advertising has a creative side, one where people actually make interesting things instead of just showing products and shouting prices. (Okay, the old man and the dog are just my author's habit of lying, but I swear the rest is true.)

Just like that, I accidentally became an art director.
I've collaborated with shops around the world, including BLKJ Havas Singapore, Virtue APAC+UK, and VaynerMedia APAC. Today, I spend my time applying all my crafts to solve brand problems by creating things that actual, living humans find interesting. It is a lot better than just shouting prices and making the logo bigger.

Since then, I've:

"Uneleganted" a Cannes-winning film

Launched a car feature designed for women

Changed a corporate contract to benefit the little guys

And more...
